Rushcliffe Enhanced Access Service
As a Rushcliffe patient you can access routine appointments in the evenings and at weekends. These appointments are best suited for things that will not need ongoing review by your usual practice.
You can book through your surgery during opening hours, for appointments between 6.30pm and 8pm in the evening on weekdays and between 8.30am and 5.00pm at weekends. If you request one of these appointments, which are outside of usual working hours you will be offered a slot with a Rushcliffe GP, Nurse, Healthcare Assistant or First Contact Physiotherapist at one of four locations across the borough.
The location will depend on the day of your appointment.
The additional evening and weekend appointments will be available at:
• East Bridgford Medical Centre
• Castle Healthcare Practice in West Bridgford
• Keyworth Medical Practice
- East Leake Health Centre
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL EXTENDED HOURS APPOINTMENTS ARE PREBOOKABLE ONLY BY CONTACTING YOUR OWN GP PRACTICE.
THERE IS NO WALK IN SERVICE OFFERED.
IF YOU REQUIRE URGENT ASSISTANCE BEFORE 8AM OR AFTER 6.30PM, PLEASE CALL 111.

This service is for problems which cannot wait until the next available surgery but do not require Emergency Department care.
You can call 111 when you need medical help fast but it’s not a 999 emergency. Available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We offer home visits to patients who are housebound or requiring end of life care. We request that all other patients attend the surgery for their appointments. It is important that we are able to use the most appropriate examination facilities and equipment to provide you with high quality care.
If you or your carer requests a home visit, you will receive a telephone call from a GP to discuss the most appropriate management for your problem.
If you think you may need a home visit, please contact the surgery in the morning wherever possible.
If you would like a chaperone to be present during your consultation, please request one at the time of booking your appointment or when you arrive.
If you have a specific need that needs supporting to enable you to access healthcare, that is not already being addressed, then please contact our reception team.
If you need an interpreter during your appointment, please let reception know at the time of booking. We require at least 2 days notice to be able to provide the service but do not delay any urgent health need in the interim.
