Congratulations on getting your place here at the University of Nottingham. For many of you, this will be the first time you have lived away from home.

You will have already arranged your student loan, your accommodation, but there is one thing that many students forget to do and that is to register with a local GP. 

Registering with us as your local GP will allow us to request your medical records and be able to assist you more accurately and efficiently. It will also enable you to access local health services quickly and easily while you're away. 

This is especially important if you have an ongoing health condition, particularly one that needs medicine, such as asthma, diabetes or epilepsy.
